At the same time Christians, sikhs budhists and zoarashtrians are 2.3, 1.9, 0.80,and 0.007 respectively as per the presentation paper of the standing committee of the national monitoring committee for minorities education led by the ministry of human resources development, government of india, may, 2013. we are the largest group of minorities with the status of minorities in india. article 29(1) of Indian constitution guarentees the protection of interest of minorities by defining it as any section of the citizens residing in the territory of india or any part threof having the distinct lauguage, script or culture of its own shall have to conserve them In indian society as a part of it since last 1385 years in multi-cultural pluralism in our country, as this account has been taken from the date of contruction of the First masjid of india built by the king of kodangallur, raja rama kula shekhara, who accepted islam at the hands of sahabi of Prophet Mohammed called cherana Juma ,masjid, in kodungallur, thrissur district, in Kerala state. And we, the Muslims in india also claims that we belong to Muslim minority community on the basis of religion and its related factors to define us as minorities, either linguistic or religious minorities in our country. For complete meaning and definition of the wordminority on the scale of international laws, there is no unanimous opinion, or definition is in practice by the countries of the united nations. To draw up the sense and definition of the exact word minority, the oxford dictionary says the smaller number or part, especially a number or a part representing less than half of the whole. For its example further it says a smaller group of people within a community or country, differing in race, religion, language or political persuasion. Macmillan dictionary says in singularly that a small number of people or things that are part of larger group that different in some way from most of the group. Mariam-Webster dictionary say that a number or amount that is less than half of the total.further it says that a group of people who are different from the larger group in a country, area, etc in the same way (as such race or religion). N ow it is very clear to define the Indian Muslims are the people with the status of minority with its population of 13.4% in total population of 1028610328, in which the Muslims are 1381888240. We the muslims are the part of Indian society and our elders and forefathers contributed a lot to this nation since centuries in all respects and continuing to live with fellow citizens by sharing the joys and sorrows of the Indians as Indians. We are very much proud to be Indian Muslims And we have great history of sacrifices in building and developing this stage from period of centuries, as indigenous people and sons soil of Indian state. Because our generations together from the period of rigvedic civilization or harappan or moenjodaro civilizations we were the part of the people and we will be a part of Indian people as long as the future generations of the Indian Muslims exist on the soil. And we made it clear that we are the indigenous people of the country and our forefathers were the Indian Muslims, like any other communities in the word, accepted the Islam, at the time arrival of Islam to India during the life time and after Prophet Mohammed. Prophet Mohammed born in 570 AD. There were many saints and sahabies from the Saudi Arabia visited few southern states of India and propagated Islam, (to be continued in part2)
