what you read is the truth. the photo that goes along with it is the truth. those are cats piled up into garbage drums that were euthanized because nobody would adopt them within the very short time span they have. all those pretty little kitties were not long ago kittens. and you said, ohhhh, he is so pretty! wont he make a nice pet? but you did not ask yourself if you were up to handling him, and for his natural life (unless he got something as painful as cancer and euthanizing him, under that circumstance, was kind, to take him out of misery). TAKING A PET, whether a baby or not, is a RESPONSIBILITY. you should look at it like this: its like having a baby. would you leave your baby in a cage with other babies who all were fed from a bottle at prescribed feeding times? to be given a diaper change when the help had the time? how would you feel if your BABY cried most of the day, hungry not for food, but to be picked up, held, cooed at, and in general, just loved? heres another thing i have noticed: i see these lovely young women put little (breed) dogs into their big handbags walking up and down the mag mile, so shiny, so bright, so wealthy, so where to be seen, and when they are done with that, they abandon their little dogs onto the street, far away, out in the boondocks, to freeze and to starve. what is wrong with their minds? SOMETHING sure is! you should not take in an animal in any way into your life if you are not mature enough to think just what responsibilities you SHOULD live with for all its life. and then, know full well that it must be YOU that does all it takes to give that animal a peaceful, healthy existence. shame on those that are so negligent as to never think about it before they adopt a pet! it makes me sick.
