when I first heard about Togadias comments, I thought this was a blast from the past for Modi.At one time, Modi and Togadia were inseparables, zooming around on their scooter. This continued till Modi became CM ( with the interlude of 6 years when Modi was a persona non-grata for Gujarat BJP during 1994-2002, being considered a trouble maker, and actually sent away from Gujarat). During Modis exile, Togadia developed closeness to Keshubhai. After becoming CM, Modi sidelined Togadia, effectively eliminating him as a future Challenger. I assumed that a hurt Togadia was saying these things because he wanted to inconvenience the PM candidate just before the polls. I am surprised that the BJP has not condemned Togadia more strongly. If they are afraid of losing votes, I fear for the future. I was not too worried about the future when characters like Azam Khan went around spewing poison. That is because they are political marginals and there is a law to deal with such persons. However, when a party that will most probably form the next government refuses to take a stand, I am worried.Mr.Modi, please take a firm stand.
