when I first met Jordy,I was at the park one Saturday afternoon walking my dogs, when I heard a huge commotion across the park. When I approached to take a closer look, I spotted a medium sized black dog dancing circles around one of the local vagrants barking and lunging with great enthusiasm. His muzzle had come off and was hanging under his throat, while this poor guy, armed with only a tree branch for protection shouted hysterically to try keep him away. His poor owner was desperately trying to catch him by his leash whilst shouting at the vagrant to keep still, while Jordy nimbly dodged her like an enraged ballerina. It was only after we managed to catch him and get his muzzle back on and apologize profusely to the vagrant, (who knows Jordy well, and is usually quite a good sport) that Jennifer was able to tell me Jordys story. Up until very recently, Jordy could not go for a full walk without accosting a jogger, cyclist, skateboarder or vagrant, of which there are MANY in the city. So much so, that he would spot them about 200 meters away, and begin his glorious shadowboxing routine. Needless to say, he had absolutely zero recall to boot... We had our first session on the 14th of August, and have seen each other more or less once a week since then. Thats around 2 months of work, or 8 or so sessions. Look what Jordy and Jennifer have managed to achieve:
