when a drama or movie adapts from a book or an advertisement uses songs from any singer & album, even karaoke or entertainment outlets playing songs or music, they have to pay royalty to the original owner. So i think it is fair original creator be credited and compensated royalty fee every time the original script or story or song is being borrowed, replicated or used by other than the original creator.
