when we are emotionally hungry we are too busy filling our plates, stockpiling, and keeping score, to notice that the main course is actually missing. our appetite might masquerade as love but our hands and mouth are too occupied for us to notice the smoke of our misfires or hear even the pulse of our own compass. this is the part of the deception that we ourselves swallow, because unknowingly and ultimately, there is no peace. this is not love. love does not deceive, manipulate, or self serve. love is not interested in building extravagant stories or feeding egos. love is too busy walking with empty hands, bare from giving and open for holding. love builds homes with no conditions and no price. love listens to the breath of another persons presence, and knows peace.
