with 174 Petawatts (174,000,000,000,000,000 watts) being received by the sun at any given time we have way more than enough to provide power to the entire world with out coal, gas, oil. considering that the world total power consumption rate is less than 20 terawatts (20,000,000,000,000 watts). the sun is sending more than 8000 time the power we need to run the entire world from. to satisfy this need we only need an area lake Victoria in Africa to supply the whole world with power.
