woke up from a crazy dream just now, i needed a power nap so i crash out on my living room floor. i was on the run from the cops ducking inside corner stores and cutting through project buildings in Brooklyn , i saw my mother short brown skin beautiful woman, even with my heart racing and about to pound out my chest , the first thing that came to mind was she need her hair done, if i get away make sure to give her money shameek, i thought to myself ,she seen me running and fan me over to her, police cars was zooming up and down the blocks looking for me along with cops on foot. oh God boy what have you done this time she ask, i stood there grinning like the cat who swallow the canary , with my front and back pockets filled with money from two overly flashy drug dealers i just rob, how was i suppose to know drug dealers will call the cops, its not as if they file taxes on ever dime of crack they sold. boy from the time you came out me you been bad, just like your father, i want better for you, she said, here take this and get on the train, take it to the Bronx and go see one of those pretty ladies you like up there and dont come back for five days , she said handing me a metro card , while her little arm wrap around mine, she walk me to the train station , police cars zoom by me not looking at me twice, i guess because i was with her, damn did i hit the really big drug dealer to bad with the butt of the gun that in my waist right now, i did see a tooth fly out his moth, i told him not to move, that dude was twice my sizes and im a pretty big dude . i thought to my self. as i head down the train station stairs , i stuff three hundred dollar bills in to my mothers pocket without her noticing . she look at me with concern in her out, not shock at all , i know she can see the handle of the gun on my waist line . youll think shell be scared , but not her. mommy get your hair done and buy you a pepsi and a pack of new ports, i shouted while continuing to walk down the stairs. i have no money she replied back, i smile you do now. she shook her head,. Shameek remember baby to touch the world but dont let it touch you , God have a better plan for you. i could hear her scream as i seen my train pulling up. ( so i woke up like WTF that felt so real , then i realize it was. , i wasnt always who i am now, time to call my mother to tell her i love her and i finally understand what she meant by touching the world but dont let it touch you .
