woke up morning and remembered 3 conversations I was involved in yrs ago: 1. I was at the Christian Street YMCA and Donnie Carr said "so we playing some AAU team and I came down and pulled up from the foul line. Dude was standing under the rim, and still caught a piece of my my shot"...turns out that DUDE was Kevin Garnett in highschool!!! 2. I was standing on the corner of 18th and Mifflin talking to this oldhead from my way that played for the Bulls years ago. He says "my friend has a son in the 11th grade, and everyone is saying he is gonna be REALLY good. He like 6-4 now and can do everything...his name is Kobe Bryant....make sure you watch out for him" 3. I was playing 12 and under and Vare Middle school and this convo was actually caught on tape. It was 1993 and some random guy says to the camera man "they got this tall young bol from up North Philly. He play for Gratz...you gotta check em out"....that tall kid ended up being Rasheed Wallace!!
