woke up this morning not really in the mood for church since we had such a long day yesterday but we got dressed and went anyways, half way through sunday school our pastor invites a man in, the man quietly declines and continues on his way well 5 to 10 minutes later he joins us and listens throughout the sermon providing answers and the information he knew about the scripture he leaves to answer a phone call and comes back to continue. As we come to a close the pastor ask anyone if the have questions or prayer request and the man tells us about a friend of his who is an atheist and how hes trying to convince his friend that there is a god and why he should believe and the pastor begins by telling him that there is a god and gives the man examples on how we know this. he finishes by telling him that all we as a community can do is love him and pray for him. pastor ask for the name of the mans friend so we can have a short prayer for him so the man stands hands pastor the card with his name on it and replies i am that man and with teary eyes he left the room. Todays service was amazing. the lord brought us one more soul to save and proved that there are people out there looking for guidance and a way to the lord we jsut have to lead the way. There was something about having that man in church today and seeing him leave with tears of joy in his eyes knowing that that even though we dont know him personally we love and pray for him seeing him leave like that filled me with a sense of joy and awe it was amazing theres just no other way to describe it i feel blessed that i was there today to witness a man regaining his faith in god even if he didnt stay for worship.
