By Danette Melvin (on behalf of the Sorini family) — 1 hour ago Peter completed his fourth radiation therapy session today and is tolerating them well. He is also making significant progress with his mobility. Personal trainer Brian Yates and nephew Peter Granger are supervising intense daily sessions that are obviously making a difference. The staff at the radiation therapy center were delighted with the change in Peter’s strength over the course of just a few days and noted that he came to his first treatment in a wheelchair, his second treatment using a walker, and walked into his third treatment with minimal assistance. Peter and Stephanie are in great spirits and spent New Year’s Eve with his mother, mother-in-law, sisters, brother-in-law, and aunt. Close friends stopped by to help with a few household chores and joined in for an optimistic and uplifting evening. Stephanie wants to “Wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank you to all. The best is yet to come in 2015!”
