We develop union leadership skills by educating members and encouraging their involvement in AFL-CIO Community Services and their communities.” Goal: To build a stronger, highly respected Labor movement Participants Will: •Develop skills to conduct a meaningful labor based community service in their own community; •Be educated about the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison network and the United Way Partnership; •Understand the connection of how politics effect their communities and their lives; •Be able to establish or strengthen a community services committee with their local union or Central Labor Council; •Learn how to build community coalitions
