#worldcup While talking about counter-attacks, more often, we tend to cite #Italys example. Surely they are the masters in this sector but what about Ivory Coasts counter-attacking football this morning? Watching their highlight had been a treat to watch man! Even though the Japanese went ahead but Ivory Coast were in full control of ball-possession. But they were not able to dent a well-organized Japanese defence. Then how do you dent this well-organized Japanese wall? Why not try for a counter-attack from the full-backs? Why not introduce the old warhorse to add some spark? Drogbas introduction in the second half sparked the Africans and in the 64th minute, full-back Serge Aurier ran in and produced two sublime crosses from the right flank which Bony and Gervinho took full advantage. Remember how Cabrini of Italy used to go for a counter-attack in 1982? Perhaps, such dangerous but productive moves from the right or left flanks by the full-backs helps in dismantling a well-organized defence. What do you think?
