wow. just sitting here typing away and my littlest one, Ella (3) asked Daddy, do you like me??? and i said, yes sugar i LOVE you... and she said but daddy...do you Like me too? and i smiled, stopped typing and went over to kneel beside her while she looked into the cats eyes and said i like you more than ice cream..and she started smiling, almost embarrassed. then i said : i like you more than cake and her eyes sparkled as the wonder and amazement of a child spun the universe before her...and i LOVE ice cream and cake... i continued. daddy, can i have a chocolate chip cookie? -well, everyone knows the answer to that. but i wasnt being played. i was thinking earlier how i never really got struck with the full weight of the horrors of life can throw at a child...not until my own were the same age as the stories on television...and as i began to feel the truth of those views, i changed a bit...i dunno. the truth for me is, i would bend and break every know solid in thew universe to keep that mystified, loving and trusting gaze of hers from ever seeing anything that would steal it away. serious, i would commit serious crimes if i could if anyone ever touches one of mine...and there is no point. just stumbling into a room here folks...i am thinking, so there is no beginning and no end, i just wanted to open the door of my study and share a moment of pure, time-splitting enlightenment with you all. this is where you came in, see you guys later.....
