wow man, i was just on my balcony having a quiet smoke while the part of my world not working the next shift at Navy Med still slept, doing my mantra and hearing the trucks pass in the distance, when a HUGE HAWK (i guess) flew from one of the balconies a little above me and to the right, directly in front of me just a few arms lengths away, about waist high -- just beneath the height of the parapet so the light from our condo wouldnt shine on its detail -- and on up into the shadows of the tall fur tree to my left. in other words, it was just a huge, black, wings-whooshing form -- im guessing its wing-span was 4 1/2 - 5 feet. DARSHAN!!! must have been watching me for a few minutes and decided pffff, I guess Id better remind this moron just what an un-Aware honkey he still is. OR, it was just that it was upwind of my stinky cigarette. :) either way, so cool! im a lot more awake now...
