wrapping up the Joyride CYOA right now. Heres what I got so far... you are a scavenger from a city called Hell who decides to wander out into the dustway and seek a mythical sanctuary called avalon... along the way you encounter all kinds of murderous freaks and bizarre traps, you might crawl through miles of sewer pipes, you might walk across a highway that was once a war zone... along the way you often reminisce about your mentor and savior, Roddy, who was a legendary scavenger, also known by his nicknames The Pipe King, and Twosoup. What would Roddy do when confronted with these dangers? Rival gangs clash for control of territory and fuel--The Blowbang Gang, Wasters, and the Cop-Os, whove found an ancient stash of advanced police weaponry and use it to great effect. Along the way you are chased by The Man with Salt-and-Pepper Hair and you eventually meet him on the upper tier of the highway... Anyway. Im at page 100, where if youve played your cards right, you stand at the silvery gates of Avalon.. on one side, junked cars and smouldering wreckage, on the other side, paradise. Not sure how to wrap this up. Do you find Roddy inside? Are the residents of Avalon techno-utopians who kill all outlanders in a form of ethnocentric pre-emptive self-defense? Is avalon deserted by all except maintenance roboids who patrol the streets picking up trash and neutralizing invaders? Trying to come up with some cool final reveal that isnt hokey or played out, drawing a blank.. can we crowdsource this one? hit it with your best below:
