writes because he is happy, and because he is sad; he writes - TopicsExpress

writes because he is happy, and because he is sad; he writes because he is strong, and because he is weak; he writes because he has much to say, yet feels unable to communicate; he writes because he is secure in his solitude, yet secretly longs to be a part of a community; he writes because he sometimes feels dead inside, and because he is SO alive he might explode from the energy; he writes to remind himself of who he was, is, and is not- as well as to inspire himself to become the person whom he wishes to become; he writes for the lost child in him, and for the children he daydreams of fathering and raising, but never will; he writes because he cant forget the past traumas that haunt his subconscious, and because time threatens to erase all of his sweet, cherished memories... But mostly, Craig Jackson writes because, though he has taken, and will forever live by, a vow of silence, there seem to always be plenty of pens and paper nearby. To paraphrase my favorite former writer-turned-cinematic supervillain-turned-somewhat-sympathetic-victim-of-the-Communist system: I fight for Mother Russia...but I WRITE for ME!! ~~ Ivan Drago, Rocky IV
