#yallasouriya 6:11 am on July 2, 2013 Permalink | Log in to leave a Comment Gemayel urges Hezbollah to quit Syria, return to Lebanese fold BEIRUT: The deteriorating security situation and political crisis in Lebanon stem directly from Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria, said Kataeb Party leader Amin Gemayel Monday, urging the resistance group to return to the “Baabda Declaration” and spare Lebanese society from further divisions. “Hezbollah’s involvement in the Syrian conflict has had negative effects on national unity in Lebanon,” the former president said during a news conference. “[Hezbollah’s] interference has also had negative repercussions on the formation of the Cabinet and Lebanese society is splintering. There is a side that will not take part in the government that includes Hezbollah,” Gemayel added.
