yeah, but gee, last decade, a spate of (gpns equipped, ie, accurate to about 1 square meter) oil tankers, up to 100km off course hitting the reef, spilling oil on its MOST ecologically-sensitive areas, last year, usa accidentally priming some bombs on plane & apologizing for having to dump them ON the reef, BOTH main political parties trying to impose MORE coal mining near the GBR, where toxic run-off is GUARANTEED to fkup the reef further, clive (im not the silent partner 3rd member of the coalition even though i spent decades FINANCING the coalition palmer THIS year being given right to dump TEN TIMES the heavy metal & other pollutants into the waters of the reef than he was previously allowed to... uh, if they kill or severely damage enough of the GBR then they can have it removed from World Heritage Listed Protection, & THEN they can derill for the huge reserves of OIL under the Great Barrier Reef, the way joh bjelke-petersen wanted to do when he was running ql, the actual REASON it was GIVEN that WHL Protection in the 1st place... what else can you expect if you insist on allowing frontal lobe deficient hydrocarbon-sniffing chimps (& they really are that, ie, from balmoral, through texas, & every other monarchy theyv built their castles & ranches OVER oil-fields for millenia, ie, continually inhaling high-octane etc ground leakage is NOT good for the brain cells, even if it is convenient to be able to drop a scoop into the cellar to then boil up to pour over peasants when they clamour at the castle walls demanding food etc) run your Planet, ie, having More Oil is ALL they comprehend, its why they spill oil in the arctic seas, why they fkdup the GOM, ie, oil slicks soak up more solar heat, raising the ambient background temperatures, melting ice-caps faster, so they can Drill For More Oil, or nuclear tests in the most seismically & volcanically active area of the Planet, the pacific atolls (surprise surprise, bp founder viscount winston churchills nephew, oil magnate george bushs company general electric also makes nukes), hmm, think, if mere hydrolic fracking causes earthquakes, what happens if you drill holes under atolls & drop multi-megatonnage nuclear bombs into that high atmospheric pressure area??? oh look, a trail of oil from those cracks in the sea ved there, soooo much cheaper & easier than having to drill all those expensive deep ocean test wells..... >:(
