years ago the blue mountains had a radio station called 2ka...as was the deal... it was to cover the local area...by chance. being a regional station they could convert from am to fm..as fate would have it the tower is great for coverage into sydney..hence a free shot at a bigger market..point to ponder....where do locals get news and info in times of crisis...scratchy sydney stations like 2ue and the abc.i think the govt should rethink its media rules and let others have relay towers to cover areas given up by local stations..paul murray and Clinton Maynard have done a great job covering the fire crisis...
