yesterday i made the final payment on a credit card debt from the War of 2008 (divorce). Actually it was more like a hostile takeover, but thats another story you aint gonna hear. Its the second card Ive paid off. Thank you, Jesus...dont leave me now. I went to the Lions Club Thrift Shop looking for shirts. They have some killer shirts sometimes; highest price is 1.50. Unfortunately, it was Midget Appreciation Day, and no shirts for tall guys. BUT, the lady running the register pulled out a big bag of fresh green onions from her neighbors garden and asked if I wanted them. Well, does a bear poop in the woods? It truly is amazing how much you appreciate things more when you have very little. I took many things for granted before I started out on my own again. I give thanks for the smallest blessings these days. And I give thanks for how much I have learned. My dysfunctional childhood, my ex leaving me, the poverty for a few years. . .all prepared me for what was to come. I am a survivor, and while I am still weak at times, I am happy, and I fear nothing on this earth. I am thankful for that more than anything. Amen (I didnt write this to draw attention to myself. My life has been put into perspective by reading about others. I just want people who are struggling to know you are not alone. And even in your darkest hour, there is Hope.)
