you know, I have always put others needs ahead of my own. I made it a point to go so far as to back down when I know I am right, in order to keep the peace. Those who know me well (and you know who you are, KNOW this is true) have told me I need to stand up and fight when I am right and not back down. My family has always come first, above my own needs and my own happiness - because when THEY are happy - I am happy. But I find myself, more and more, NOT backing down. Not going with the flow in order to keep the peace. I dont know what has brought about this change in my personality and I am not even sure it is right. But, it is WHO I AM NOW. Sadly, I have seen a few rifts because of it and I truly wonder why. Is it because I am only good enough when I can be pushed around? No need for comments, it is just an observation that I have been thinking about. :) But know this - regardless of what I fight for or who I fight with - I still love all of you the same, even if you no longer feel the same.
