Its not safe - youll blow your knee out or twist your ankle, Let me tell you about my friend, he didnt squat with feet parallel.....total knee reconstruction, and he cant train at all anymore I think your friend is full of excuses, and didnt understand his body. So I presume you dont believe in neutral spine alignment either? Depends on the context how can your spines safety be about context you obviously dont know much about the function of the spine. Are we done here so I can continue risking my life? END OF CONVERSATION. Conversations such as these are hilarious. Movement malnourished, immobile, muscle bound, arrogant trainers (whose idea of crazy mobility is getting past parallel in a back squat) who criticise practice that they do not understand - all because they only study fitness. Their world is about sets and reps. Movement patterns? complexity? atomisation? improper alignment? Personally? I want to move, not perform exercises. This guy demonstrates the point well.....
