youcaring/TequilaRoseFund Wow theres a lot of people here! Hopefully you guys are like the nice people Ive met in the last few days and not like the ones I used to know... Life is still so scary, but Im trying really hard! My body is tired and sore and I cant move so fast a lot of the time so I get startled easy. I cant help but duck every time someone tries to touch me, those same touches used to hurt and I remember it very clear. Maybe my new friends have known people like that too because I can see the same sadness in their eyes when they look at me. I havent been shaking much when Im getting pets anymore! Ive met some wonderful doggies, a very nice lady Lori, and even better, a new foster dad! I was so scared when he first came to meet me that I stayed to the very edge of the yard and tried to make myself disappear. But he was so patient with me and helped me to relax and feel safe with him. I cant remember the last time Ive been able to sleep in a bed, with a full tummy, cuddled next to someone who treats me so well. I even let him steal a kiss here and there :) I promise to keep working hard and to check in with all my new family. Thank you for believing in this old sad girl, I saw so many young and cute dogs at the shelter that I never thought anyone would pick me. Maybe this is the heaven people talk about? Theres bacon treats, so must be! ❤️ Tequila Rose
