youd want to know about the sports in Pakistan and why cricket has taken over and football hasnt really developed and also that why our national sport in which we used to be giants i.e field hockey has suddenly stepped down here. The main reason for this is that all the money has just been used for cricket and the corruption in cricket has really let down the whole sports society. Due to the corruption, even cricket is not what it used to be here. You wont believe me but as far as football is concerned, there are just about 1 or 2 stadiums in a single large city, that too of a maximum capacity of 5-6K. Just because AstroTurf is being used in hockey now days, the government spends less or no money in making AstroTurf pitches. Everything is being spent on cricket and thats it.
