There have been protest, die-ins, and speaker after speaker at rallys but I cant help but to imagine...what would happen if we poured this same amount of time and energy back into our own communities. What if we purchased land, properties, neighborhoods...created community farms, afterschool learning labs, community centers... How about we MARCH on over to support businesses that are out here working hard every day!!! Have you bought your tickets to Legends of Soul with Tonya Little? Have you purchased your ticket to Soulful Noel with Quentin Talley? Have you purchased your holiday baked goods with Switchin in the Kitchen with @SherryJunior? These are just a few ways that local black entrepreneurs are working hard every day to make a difference by offering cultural experiences, creating jobs and fostering a sense of community! I will move forward in the wake of these incidents by building up my community, supporting youth in need right now and continuing to do more with what I have been given... What will happen on Monday?? #MarchNowWhat?
