I expressed my concern how the use of modern technology will cause more and more kids to be illiterate, because they will not learn the skills of language and the written word if they themselves dont develop them by doing the work to have them. I once thought Dragon, was a useful to for kids with learning disabilities. But now, modern technology is making it easy to be lazy when doing homework for English. Even teachers are asking for work to be produced to them by email or stored in USBs. This wave of moving away from written form, will have great consequences on our childrens lives. Penmanship skills should alway be taught. In school, language / english classes should always be a place to learn and practise these skills. So why isnt today? Why isnt it?
