This let to the bizarre combination of being nominated for 5 Razzies (which is completely ridiculous) and two Golden Globes. This movie is nowadays regarded much more kindly by critics, and Quentin Tarrantino has cited is as one of his favourite police thrillers, and a major influence on his works. In any case, if you enjoyed French Connection, this might be something for you. Old-School police thrills, set in China Town.
