RiyadhConnect The General Directorate of Environmental Health in Ahsa has launched an investigation on the owner and employees of a fast food restaurant where an employee was filmed retrieving fried chicken from the trash in order to re-serve to diners, reported Akhbaar24 news. A video clip showing an employee in an international fast food chain taking pieces of chicken from the trash went viral on various social media sites. The video clip captured the branch manager instructing the employee to take the food from the trash. The Directorate has said that it will take severe actions against those violating the environmental health regulations. It also requested people to report any suspicious health-related incidents to the exclusive line that is set up (940), on their website or any other appropriate mode. The video clip shows the worker taking out the chicken from the garbage bin:
