youtu.be/m4RT-J_20aI For everybody doing the ice thing, heres a face you can put to ALS. Jason was destined to be part of the pantheon of guitar heroes back in the 80s. At 16 to 17 he recorded his first album. In 1991 he was part of David Lee Roths band and made one record with him. In the early 90s his condition came to the surface. He was given FIVE YEARS to live (and obviously beat the prediction). He eventually did lose the ability to speak and function on his own. His father developed a system where Jason uses his eyes to communicate and to this day he not only uses his eyes to communicate, but hes still composing music. Two different guitar companies have made special runs of guitars in his honor. He was the subject of a documentary in 2012. And as you can see in this video below, he can still smile through it all. Yeah, this video isnt a 20 to 30 second squeal or scream fest and it hits the 6 minute mark even. This ones not gonna be as cool as the others we seen for the past several days, but in case you havent seen the affects of ALS up close, heres your chance.
