youtu.be/nay31hvEvrY Tuesday at 4:43am EST, the Sun changes signs from practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking and objective Aquarius, where it will journey until Feb. 18th. For the next four weeks, we have advancement and progress in our hearts. We want to get off the beaten path, leaving behind old and outdated ways of thinking and doing, throwing off personal and social conditioning – those restrictions, limitations and inhibitions that may once have felt safe, but now feel constraining. Our idealism runs strong, but we can have some fixed ideas about how we want to accomplish these ideals – although we are open to new ideas in theory, in practice we may actually be quite stubborn. Tuesday at 7:59am EST, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space smile emoticon Personal freedom becomes paramount. Tuesday at 8:14am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 0 degrees of Aquarius, This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, we have our eye on the future. We are seeing a clear vision for our life and are ready to make huge improvements. We strive for equality, collaboration and progress. Where are you called to make a difference? Just like the last New Moon (4 weeks ago), this one is also in the very beginning of a sign (0 degrees). This heightens the Aquarian energy and asks of us that we open up to “The New — especially in the area of life that corresponds to wherever the New Moon falls in our birth chart. The effect is also accentuated by Mercury and Venus connecting in Aquarius. The Aquarian energy is connected to our inner visionary, humanitarian, and agent of change who’s all about creating a better future for all. Aquarius deals with the power of ideals, technology, and inventions. We are interested in the collective and are focused on changing group consciousness. What can the individual do for humanity? What about groups? How can group consciousness shift the course of humanity? Each one of us has a special gift, a spark unique to us; when we access this inner genius and share it with the world, we are capable of quantum leaps of insight and remarkable collaborations with others. How does your inner genius communicate?Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius) aligns with the South Node in Aries and makes a tight square to Pluto in Capricorn; this is asking us to redefine personal and collective freedom. We are invited to release old patterns, especially around gender, so we can each fulfill our unique role at this critical juncture on Earth. Our individual capacity to effect change is greater by far than we realize. Aim for wholeness: Your light will shine all the brighter when all of you is visible :)We are being invited to not only think outside the box, but to live there too — to make adjustments and find creative solutions as we go — flexibility is called for, as is allowing ourselves to break out of our “normal” routines. We are all agents of change (this is even truer for those of us with Uranus, Aquarius or 11th house planets strongly emphasized in our birth chart). This New Moon also squares the degree that the Solar Eclipse occurred in, back on Oct. 23rd, 2014, so this is a turning point in our Soul’s Journey: We are invited to move to the next level. Flexibility and an open mind will support us with that movement. What important changes were happening for you three months ago? What are you ready to tackle now?Mercury goes retrograde the day after the New Moon becomes exact. As best you can, take time for reflection, attune to insights from your higher Self. Ask yourself: Where do I need to re-align myself with my vision for the future? What needs to be repaired or released? What is holding me back from expressing and sharing my inner genius? I found a wonderful quote about vision: “A vision is not just a picture of what could be, it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more”. Sounds like this person might have Mercury in Aquarius. The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this months Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions (most potent) would be any time between 8:15am EST Tuesday morning and 8:45pm EST Wednesday evening or 7:45am until 8:14am EST Thursday morning.
