youtube/watch?v=-nPjyalmUT0 Today in class when we watched the video about stereotyping races I instantly thought of this scene in Identity Thief. Anyone who hasnt seen it, this clip isnt great but still shows the scene. She stereotypes Kenyans for being really fast runners, and makes a joke about it. Sad thing is, I thought it was really funny when I saw it and I think most people do when they see it. In our society we laugh first instead of stopping and thinking that hey, that might offend someone who is Kenyan, whether it is a compliment to say or not.
