youtube/watch?v=5RDy3os3lCI Every shot is different whatever caliber one is using. Accuracy test could not be ascertained unless the rifle is pressed and held on a vise with the same firing variables. A .308 (7.62 x 51) and a 30.06 (7.62 x 63) has only one difference (of course they must have same projectile weight for comparison) and that is the length of the bullet casing in which the 30.06 has an edge of 12 millimeters, anf that means more gunpowder, more thrust and recoil. With only just ten cents difference on the price per bullet, I prefer the 30.06 coz when you need that extended distance lethality over the .308 and the recoil for both rifle has not that much difference. All high caliber rifles kicks and if not managed will cause you to miss bigtime.
