youtube/watch?v=ErJUTH8Fs3Q one of the worst eyesores downtown since it is so tall and occupies a lot in a busy area......if I were the person who owned it I would have rehabbed it years ago in to efficiency units set at affordable rent controlled prices so the people who work downtown could afford to live there....not the fake oil traders making money off of the publics misery trading futures on items they dont own, but say they would buy in the future, but the people who wait on tables, clean the hotels, park your cars, well the people who actually work would have been my target renter.......and the building would have been just as nice as any other JPI project I had ever been part of if not better.......to reduce the amount of units, since it was a hotel with a lot of rooms, I would have combined some floors to make higher priced two story units with lofts overlooking the living space on what had been the floor below....easy to cut in to the floors of these old concrete buildings without disturbing the strength if you limit it to every fourth floor and you dont cut out too much, its a post tension construction so it may not be possible to combine even a few floors like that, but worth looking at to make the building useful again instead of watching it rot..........
