I think is very pleasing to the ears. Why I like Chickens - a poem by Catherine I like chickens because: They make very nice soft clucking sounds Their feathers are beautiful earth tone hues When I see one it always makes me Feel happy! When they lay an egg It is oblong, roundish and warm Occasionally soft downy feathers Are stuck to newly laid eggs The manure they create is great For making fertilizer and from fertilizer Comes brilliantly colored vegetables Full of radiant nutrients and great taste This makes me feel strong And healthy And empowered to make a difference In my life, my community, my world Wow - and all from a chicken! Oh by the way - children love chickens and It is great fun to hypnotize them.
