youtube/watch?v=nfpG6nVcoCY as I shared a lot of CARA DILLONs wonderful songs yesterday, here`s how I discovered her. I had been connected with Ireland all through the 70ties and 80ties but then in all the life changes, had lost the connection a bit with what happened there musically. Around 2009 just by chance I checked the Ireland file in a mega store in Stuttgart (usually a few Dubliners, a bit of Clannad, and that`s pretty much it). Then suddenly I saw this cover here I instantly loved. Who was that ? A young singer, not Dylan but Dillon. Aha. I instantly liked the greens, blues, the wheatblond of her hair, her rosy cheeks, as if it was a beautiful painting. I turned around the cover. The CD seemed to be full of classic Irish songs which I partly knew of corse. I asked Cara: Are you good ? You want me to risk buying a CD of an artist I don`t know at all ? And what made me smile and convinced me to really buy this CD was the slightly humorous mimic on her face. As if the photographer had waited too long, and Cara was just about to slightly raise her lip asking: Why do you make me wait. Come on now, take the picture. The album is masterly. Irish songs dressed in their sunday best in wonderful versions, played by musicians with a feeling of creating a musical together spirit, carried by Caras wonderful voice.
