youtube/watch?v=rWPABE3gycs Epistle of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 1. Paul, an apostle of God , Jesus Christ , and Timothy our brother 2 . To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse : Grace and peace to you from God our Father ( the Lord Jesus Christ ) . 3 . We thank God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 . Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love toward all the saints , 5 . for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven , of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 . which has come to you, as it is throughout the world bearing fruit and growing, as among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth , 7 . you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow worker , who is a faithful minister of Christ to you ; 8 . and who told us of your love in the Spirit. 9. Therefore we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray for you and pray that ye may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding , 10 . to live worthy of the Lord and be all pleasing , being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, 11. strengthened with all power according to His glory, to all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12. giving thanks to the Father who has made us worthy to share in the inheritance of the saints in light; 13. who delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 . It is the image of the invisible God , the firstborn of all creation ; 16. For in him all things were created , in heaven and on earth , visible and invisible - whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities - all things were created through Him and for Him ; 17. He is before all things and by Him all things consist . 18. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning , the firstborn from the dead, to have first place in everything. 19. For in him pleased the Father that dwelleth all the fullness 20. and through him to reconcile to himself all things - whether on earth or in heaven - having made peace through the blood of His cross . 21. And you, who once were alienated and enemies placement by their evil deeds , 22. now reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you before Him holy and blameless and irreproachable , 23. if you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith , and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven , whereof I Paul am made a minister . 24. Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and make up in my flesh what is lacking in even the afflictions of Christ for His body which is the Church , 25. which I became a minister according to the dispensation of God which was given me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26. that is, the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations , but now made manifest to his saints; 27. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles , which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28. We proclaim Him , admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ. 29. So I plod and I , striving according to His power, which mightily works within me
