Bucherer today announced a strategic partnership with the aim of promoting the two brands’ shared values of quality, craftsmanship and innovation. The cooperation, which will see zai’s handcrafted ski and golf products showcased in selected Bucherer stores, is to be inaugurated with the global launch of the new zai senda golf putter at the Carl F. Bucherer stand at Baselworld 2014 later this month. The inspiration for the partnership came after a meeting on the ski slope between zai CEO Benedikt Germanier and Carl F. Bucherer CEO Sascha Moeri. An exchange of factory visits followed, leading to the discovery of a strong synchronicity between the development and manufacturing philosophies of the two brands. Benedikt Germanier, CEO, zai AG said: zai and C.F. Bucherer are two authentic Swiss brands united by strong values of quality, craftsmanship and innovation. All zai skis are handcrafted in Switzerland from the finest natural and high-tech materials, including wood, stone, natural rubber and patented carbon fibres. In May 2012 zai entered the golf market with a limited edition high-concept putter, the zai sabi (the world’s first putter with a carbon fibre and brass head). For Spring 2014 the brand is extending its golf range with a new line of premium putters, named zai senda.
