#zimbabwe BRUISED & BATTERED TSVANGIRAI MEETS HIS TOP TEAM TO MAP A WAY FORWARD Under pressure MDC leader is now locked in meetings with his top team as he plans his next move in the face of crushing defeat by Zanu PF leader, Robert Mugabe. Tsvangirai has described the elections as a huge farce and declared them null and void. But he has been told by Justice Minister, Patrick Chinamasa to go to court if he felt the elections were a sham. The MDC leader is under pressure to act as angry and restless supporters are seeking direction from him. He has said revolutions were not begau by leaders but by the people themselves. Roy Bennett has said from South Africa enough is enough and people should pour into the streets in protest against the stolen elections. But Harare is calm today with people going about their business as usual. Many say street protests are unlikely as "no-one wants to die for Tsvangirai." They said thousands died in the liberation struggle only for Zanu PF elite to loot and run the country the down. Tsvangirai and his team have proved in their four years in government to be do different from the Zanu PF looters. "Going into the street, for what. So that Tsvangirai and his team can line their pockets. I do not think so," said one Mbare youth. But Tsvangirai has to come up with some position. "I am getting into a meeting of the MDC-T National Executive Committee now and then at 12pm I meet members of the National Council, which is the party’s supreme decision making body outside Congress. Top of the agenda will be the stolen elections," he said this morning.
