The Ōtsutsukis Forenames (First Names) were all Clansmen names in later Eras: Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki for example: Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki was the Clans-name for the Hagoromo Clan, who were an Early-Developed Clan in Sengoku Jidai (Warring States Period or The War-Torn Era). Here are several facts regarding the Hagoromo Clan: I. The Hagoromo Clan is Rikudō Sennins Forename [I.] II. The Hagoromo Clan fought alongside the Uchiha Clan during Sengoku Jidai [II.] III. The Hagoromo Clans literal meaning is Angels Raiment or regarding Birds (Their Surname pertains to Feathers)[III.] Now, here are several theorized speculations regarding the Hagoromo Clan: I. The Hagoromo Clan Worshiped The King Tengu (Sojobo; King of The Tengu) II. The Hagoromo Clan Followed The Uchiha Clan To Try And Receive Sojobos Blessing (Indras Chakra) III. The Hagoromo Clan Ultimately Failed in Obtaining Transcendence from Kotengu -> Daitengu The Hagoromo Clan possibly had ties regarding The Tengu seeing as there Surnames have literal meanings regarded to Birds of Prey: Tengu (heavenly dog) are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion and are also considered a type of Shinto god (kami) or yōkai (supernatural beings). Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinese demon (Tiangou), the tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey, and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics. The earliest tengu were pictured with beaks, but this feature has often been humanized as an unnaturally long nose, which today is widely considered the tengus defining characteristic in the popular imagination Within The Tengu species there are two-types: Daitengu (The Great/Stronger Tengu - Long-Nosed), and Kotengu (The Small/Weaker Tengu - Beaked); Daitengu were recognized as Knowledgeable Beings, while Kotengu were recognized as Ignorant Beings. The Hagoromo Clan would fit into being Kotengu, being much weaker to the Uchiha: (see picture with Kotengu) The Uchiha Clan would fit into being Daitengu: ( see picture with Daitengu) And Indra would fit into being Sojobo; King of Tengu (Indra in the Hindu Religion was King of The Devas (Also known as Gods; Similar to how Deva Path is called God Realm): (see Picture with Sojobo King of Tengu) The Hagoromo Clan worshiped Sojobo (Indra) due to Sojobo being the King of Tengu (Indra meaning The King of Gods). The Hagoromo Clan also followed The Uchiha Clan in awe, and probable jealousy due to the very fact that Sojobo favored the Uchiha, and bestowed his blessing upon them (Indras Chakra) allowing them to take on more Tengu-like appearances (Susanoo): (See Picture with Tengu-like appearances) Sojobo (Indra) didnt find The Hagoromo Clan worthy-enough to be bestowed his blessing, so they remained Kotengu; Ignorant-beings for not being worthy. In the end, The Hagoromo Clan were not appreciated by their well-worshiped deity Sojobo (Indra), thus led a short, and war-bearing life; Death was their only gift: (See Picture with Death was their only gift) Revision Food For Thought I: Kishimoto introduced The Hagoromo Clan to give us the Full Tengu Effect: Indra = Sojobo -> The Uchiha Clan = Daitengu -> The Hagoromo Clan = Kotengu. Also Im pretty sure if Kishimoto wanted to keep the Parallels going he would introduce a side-clan for the Senju as well wouldnt he? Kishimoto wasnt aiming for Parallels here, he was aiming to connect all three Tengu. Another case is why would Kishimoto introduce another Clan who were allied with the Uchiha Clan in a War-Era? Because Tengu were said to be Disruptive Demons, and Harbringers of War. Something that the Uchiha, and Hagoromo Clan Loved. Food For Thought II: Why else would Kishimoto introduce Madara within the war with a Daitengu (The Greater Being)? For not only introducing the sole-purpose of Susanoo, but to show the majority the Cycle of Indra (The Tengu Revelation or The Sojobo Corruption). Everyone knows the weak follow the strong (take a look at how the Shinobi Alliance gravitated toward Naruto once he got strong, and well-respected). The same applies to Indra
