Undocumented immigrants are imprisoned for months in police stations, multiple people than the capacity of detention facilities, piled in fact in places that do not have natural lighting and ventilation. Those dirty areas without elementary hygienic conditions in which people are detained without basic hygiene and care, often without even soap, with improper and insufficient food, without adequate clothing and footwear without medical care, cut off from communication with the outside world-relatives, lawyers and non-obvious information about the duration and the reasons for their detention and the means of defense against it. Μάρτυρες τέτοιων πρωτοφανών σκηνών έγιναν οι βουλευτές του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ (Θοδωρής Δρίτσας, Ευγενία Βαμβακά, Βασιλική Κατριβάνου, Χρήστος Καραγιαννίδης, Αφροδίτη Σταμπουλή, Δημήτρης Τσουκαλάς και η δικηγόρος Τασία Χριστοδουλοπούλου μέλος της Γραμματείας του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και του τμήματος δικαιωμάτων) που επισκέφτηκαν κρατητήρια αστυνομικών τμημάτων, στα οποία κατά παράβαση κάθε νόμου και συνταγματικής επιταγής κρατούνται επί μήνες άνθρωποι σε συνθήκες που είναι ακατάλληλες ακόμα και για ζώα.
