And certainly not a good age to die. But this is what her frightening reality looks like right now. Marina has a severe kidney insufficiency and needs a donor kidney transplant. This operation is her only chance to survive. She is since 8 years on dialysis; the doctors say that without a new kidney she probably has only one more year to live, maybe less.
