НОВИНИ СЕРЕДИНИ ДНЯ ПОНЕДІЛКА – MONDAY MID-DAY UPDATE (ENG VERSION FOLLOWS BELOW) #ЄвроМайдан #EuroMaydan вистояв ніч, переживши штурм Беркута; ранок понеділка розпочався з акції протесту під Кабміном, лунають вимоги щодо відставки Азарова; Яценюк та Луценко не змогли відлетіти до Харкова на короткостроковий візит до Юлії Тимошенко. #ЄвроМайдан #EuroMaydan has survived the night, despite riot police’s attempts to clear the sight; Monday morning started with peaceful protests near the Cabinet of Ministers, demanding resignation of Prime-Minister Azarov; “Batkivschyna” party leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk and former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko couldn’t depart to Kharkiv for the planned short-term visit to Yulia Tymoshenko. 1. Не дивлячись на спроби Беркута розігнати Євромайдан, він вистояв ніч та зараз нараховує близько 300 осіб. До наметового містечка на Європейській площі долучається все більше людей. Також і на Майдані Незалежності відбувається невеликий мітинг, люди скандують «Міліція з народом!». 2. О 9:30 (ЕЕТ) до Кабінета Міністрів вийшла колона мітингуючих, зараз там зібралося 500 людей. Вони виступають проти зупинення підготовки до підписання Угоди про асоціацію з ЄС та вимагають відставки Прем’єр-Міністра Азарова. Будівлю охороняють силами 150 беркутівців. 3. Друга за листопад спроба Яценюка та Луценка побачитись з Юлією Тимошенко провалилася, вони не змогли відлетіти до Харкова на запланований короткостроковий візит. Офіційною причиною було названо складні погодні умови в аеропорту Харкова. 4. Опозиція вимагає від генерального прокурора Пшонки відкрити кримінальну справу проти Прем’єр-Міністра Азарова та членів уряду за зупинення підготовки до підписання Угоди з ЄС. Депутати стверджують, що своїми діями уряд порушив статтю 19 Конституції України та перевищив свої повноваження. 1. Despite attempts of the riot police to clear the sight, EuroMaydan has survived the night. Currently it counts around 300 people, with more and more joining the tents at the Evropeyska Ploshscha (Європейська Площа). There are some protests at Maydan (Майдан) square as well, protesters call the police to join their side and to stay with people. 2. At 9:30 (EET) a group of protesters left to the Cabinet of Ministers. Currently there are around 500 people there. They demonstrate against the stop of the preparations to sign the Association Agreement with the EU and demand the resignation of Prime-Minister Mykola Azarov. 150 riot police officers are protecting the building of the Cabinet of Ministers. 3. The second in November attempt of “Batkivschyna” party leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk and former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko to visit the jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko has failed. They were supposed to come to Kharkiv for a short-term meeting with her. The official reason was declared to be the bad weather conditions at the Kharkiv airport. 4. The opposition demands from the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka to prosecute Prime-Minister Mykola Azarov and members of government for the cease of the preparations to sign the Association Agreement with the EU. Opposition deputies claim that these actions of the government are breaking the Article 19 of the Ukrainian Constitution and are exceeding government’s instructions.
