През ноември 2012 г. TransAtlantic получи първата концесия за производство в най-новата българска история. Тя е за 35 години производство в Койнаре , която съдържа Deventci-R1 кладенец, където Direct Petroleum България откриха резервоар от Джурасик ерата в Озирово на дълбочина от около 13 800 фут през 2008 година. TransAtlantic придоби Direct Petroleum България през 2011 г. и Deventci-R1 произвежда 3,1 млн куб фута природен газ на базата ограничен тест през 2012 година. TransAtlantic инициира процеса на кандидатстване за концесия за производство на базата Stefenetz, южно от района Койнаре. Докато в българския парламент се прие законодателство за забрана на хидравлична- та стимулация на фрактурата в България, те са изяснили, че конвенционалното сондиране и дейности за приключване няма да бъдат засегнати от закона. В резултат на това TransAtlantic очаква своето проучване за конвенционален природен газ, развитието и производствената дейност в България да се възобнови през 2013. In November 2012, TransAtlantic was awarded the first onshore production concession in recent Bulgarian history. It is a 35-year production concession covering the Koynare area, which contains the Deventci-R1 well, where Direct Petroleum Bulgaria discovered a reservoir in the Jurassic-aged Ozirovo formation at a depth of approximately 13,800 feet in 2008. TransAtlantic acquired Direct Petroleum Bulgaria in 2011 and the Deventci-R1 well produced 3.1 MMCF of natural gas on a limited test basis in 2012. TransAtlantic has initiated the application process for a production concession covering the Stefenetz area, just south of the Koynare area. While the Bulgarian Parliament enacted legislation to ban hydraulic fracture stimulation in Bulgaria, they have clarified that conventional drilling and completion activities are not intended to be affected by the law. As a result, TransAtlantic expects its conventional natural gas exploration, development and production activity in Bulgaria to resume in 2013. transatlanticpetroleum/portfolio/bulgaria.aspx
