The foreign nationalists, including one German and one Palestinian, are reported to have arrived Urfa by land before crossing the Turkish border in order to join the ISIS. The three men who were notified to police for suspicious behaviour were performed an identity check by the police officers arriving the scene, who also searched their backpacks, finding lint and black bandages. The three foreign nationalists who were planning to join the ISIS groups after crossing the Akçakale border gate have been taken to the Foreigners Branch of Urfa police directorate. No action has been taken against the foreigners who are being held in the police directorate and will reportedly deported. A number of sources and news have confirmed so far that the Urfa province is being used as a base by the ISIS members coming from different parts of the world to join the gang groups in Kobanê. 11 people attempting to cross the Akçakale and Ceylanpınar border to join the ISIS had been captured earlier.
