The common goal of these agencies is to combat problems of social and economic development and to help the poor achieve a level of self-reliance sufficient to plan their own livelihoods. In 2005, the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) established the First Microfinance Foundation Egypt to alleviate poverty and generate economic growth. As a locally-managed lending institution we aim to foster entrepreneurial activity, especially for women in underprivileged neighborhoods. Our operations are governed by principles of long-term sustainability and financial discipline. The Foundation extends credit mainly for income-generating loans to micro- and small-enterprises, but also provides social loans for housing rehabilitation, education, health care and family emergencies. Position Title: Human Resources & Training Manager Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer Position Scope: To ensure that the foundation has the optimum human capital required to achieve its mission; The HR and Training Manager has overall responsibility to manage the foundation Human Resources functions to attract, recruit, retain, develop, evaluate and compensate a cadre of qualified staff who can achieve the foundation goals and objectives ensuring that human resources policies and procedures are in accordance to the Egyptian labor laws and the foundation policies and practices. Main Responsibilities: • Oversee human resources management activities to ensure that the foundation creates appropriate HR policies and procedures, and establish and maintain an effective compensation system to achieve the foundation goals; • Manage all efforts to identify, recruit and place competent staff, ensuring timely hiring of qualified staff to achieve the foundation strategic and operational objectives • Develop and initiate a progressive staff development/training strategy that provides staff with greater individual competencies to undertake new responsibilities in the future. • Oversee the development and monitoring of an annual HR and Training budget. • Represent the foundation with labor office; social insurance and other related governmental Authorities and maintain positive work relations with such authorities and ensure the compliance with labor laws. Requirements: • A graduate degree in Business Administration or a related field. Specialized diploma in Human Resources. • at least 5 years’ Experience in Human Resources management in an international organization; • High-level of proficiency in written and spoken English. • Excellent knowledge of computer programs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; • Good level of experience of performance management. • Excellent organizational skills, and ability to work with little supervision; • Proactive in identifying difficulties and working cooperatively to solve them; Only Qualified candidates send their Updated CV’s to [email protected] , writing the job title in subject field.
