قال العقيد أركان حرب أحمد على، المتحدث العسكرى، إن عناصر القوات المسلحة لا تزال تقوم بتمشيط المنطقة المحيطة بموقع الانفجار ترافقها عناصر فنية وتخصصية لجمع الأدلة للوقوف على أبعاد وملابسات الحادث. وأضاف: "لا صحة شكلا وموضوعاً لوجود أي هجمات من الجانب الإسرائيلى داخل الأراضى المصرية، كما أن الادعاء بوجود تنسيق بين الجانبين المصرى والإسرائيلى بهذا الشأن هو أمر عار تماماً عن الصحة ويخالف العقل والمنطق". وتابع: "تهيب القوات المسلحة بوسائل الإعلام تحرى الدقة عند تداول مثل هذه المعلومات لما تمثله من خطورة بالغة على الأمن القومى وتمس سيادة الدولة المصرية، وهو الأمر غير المقبول بأى حال من الأحوال، حيث إن الحدود المصرية خط أحمر لم ولن يُسمح بالمساس بها". Staff Colonel Ahmad War, a military spokesman, said that the armed forces are still combing the area surrounding the blast site, accompanied by technical and specialized elements to gather evidence to determine the dimensions and the circumstances of the incident. He added: "no truth in form and substance to the existence of any attacks from the Israeli side inside Egyptian territory, also claim there is coordination between the Egyptian and Israeli sides in this regard is totally false and contrary to reason and logic." He continued: "calls upon the armed forces of the media investigated the accuracy when handling such information because it represents extremely dangerous to national security and affect the sovereignty of the Egyptian state, which is not acceptable in any way, as the Egyptian border, a red line has not and will not allow harming them."
