قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه و سلم ((قال الله تبارك و تعالي أغني الشركاء عن الشرك من عمل عملا أشرك فيه معي غيري و تركته )) الحديث القد سي :مسلم Allah, the exalted says: I m not in need of the partnership of any partner.whoever does a deed in which he associates another of me, I reject him and his shirk . ( hadith al-qudsi narrated by ((muslim)) Islam apposes shirk (polytheism) withe the purpose of liberating man from submission to any creation, and to show man the reality of the creator and his right over all creation, Shirk is not confined to worshipping idols.it also has many other forms and all thes forms are haram ( prohibited ) We should know all of them and keep ourselves away from any form of shirk. There are 3 types of shirk . 1- ASH-SHIRK AL-AKBAR=MAJOR SHIRK 2-ASH-SHIRK AL-ASGHAR=MINOR SHIRK 3-ASH-SHIRK AL-KHAFI-INVISIBLE SHIRK. 1- MAJOR SHIRK has 4 categories : 1-SHIRK AD-DUAA=SHIRK BY ( INVOCATION) this means to invoke supplicate or pray to other beings besides allah when in a state of distress or prob. Du aa is a form of ibadah (worship ). 2-SHIRK AN-NIYAH WAL IRADAH WAL QASD =( Shirk in intention and purpose ) This implies that the intention, purpose and determination in an act of worship or religious deed is not for allah but directed to someone or something else,. 3-SHIRK AT-TA AH -(SHIRK IN OBBEDIENCE )-This means rendering obedience to another authority against the orther of allah RASULULLAH said:there is no obedience to a created being in disObedience of the creator ( ahmad ). 4-SHIRK AL-MUHABBAH -(SHIRK BY LOVE ) This means showing excessive love and adoration or something other than allah, as some people do toward the GURU, SAYYED called holy man or saint . 2-MINOR SHIRK: A common form of minor shirk is riyaa, RIYAA- is the performance of act of worship and religious deeds to gain praise, fame of worldly benefits The hadith states : قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم ((إن أخوف ما أخاف عليكم الشرك اﻷصغر.قالوا؛ يا رسول الله وما الشرك اﻷصغر؟ قال ( الرياء) احمد والطبراني The messenger of allah said : the most I fear for you is ash-shirk al asghar (minor shirk ).they asked :O messenger of allah, what is ash shirk al asghar? He said ar-riyaa (Ahmad and Tibrani ) 3-INVISIBLE SHIRK : Prophet SAW also warned against invisible shirk. قاا رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم ((الشرك في هذه اﻷمة اخفي من دبيب النمل )) أحمد The shirk in this ummah will be more hidden than the tracks of black ant .ahmad. Hidden shirk implies dissatisfaction with the inevitable occurrences that are decreed by allah .this is expressed by lamenting past action or saying . If only you did such and such .or if I had not done such and such .while evrything accurs according to the will of allah and is predestined.
