खुले दरवाजे के साथ चल पड़ी मेट्रो I have been noticing for quite a while that the quality of service on Delhi metro has been deteriorating. And this is what happened this morning. Systems are not working the way they are supposed to. Other than that, I dont know how many of you experience the following:- Announcements are almost never synchronized with the action. The warning chime before the door shuts - At times it does not happen, but often starts after the door is shut Stand away from the door announcement when the doors are about to shut before the train moves, often comes AFTER the door is shut. In fact, it often happens AFTER the train has started moving If you are at the platform, the announcement that train to ABC is about leave Platform No X, attention to its departure is being spoken even as the train has moved out of the platform Often, the train which is being terminated somewhere in between, for example, will show the light blinking for the final destination as the last point. But the driver would suddenly announce that it would terminate at a station other than the one depicted by the blinking light. At times, the digital announcement board at the station tells you the next train is for ABC and once you enter, you realise its for XYZ The announcement over the public address system, inside the train is often inaudible. There is so much sound inside the trains, not from people talking, but the whistling sound as the train moves through the tunnel, that you cannot hear the announcement unless you are RIGHT under the speaker. The problem of poor Public address is pronounced in the older Mitsubishi/Rotem coaches.
