New Delhi : Taking cognisance of the incident involving legal right of Tribal farmers of district Lahaul Spiti ,National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) has issued a summon to the Secretary (Defence BRDB) Govt.of India , Secretary(PWD) Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, DC Lahaul Spiti, SDM Udaipur .The Commission has sent the notice to all officials asking them to appear before it on July 11,2013 at New Delhi. Supreme Court Advocate Sh Sudershan Thakur, has filed this petition before ST Commission at new Delhi. He said, "several legislation has been made for safeguards of ST People yet atrocities/discrimination in different forms did not stop on Scheduled Tribes of this country." Mr Thakur alleged that top bureaucrats and lower rank officers of state and centre Govternment deprived legitimate rights of Tribal People of Lahaul Spiti.
